KIDS (0-10YEARS) AT
Children are always welcome at Campden Baptist Church - parents, please do not worry if they squeal, cry, shout, scream, run around - we are very happy for them to do so. Children and young people are an integral and important part of CBC.
On our Sunday mornings we meet first together in the School and then our children go out around 10.45am to attend their age specific groups in classrooms on the school site. We also have a crèche which is manned with volunteers and we provide quiet areas suitable for feeding babes.
Kate Irvine is our Children's Ministry Leader and leads, co-ordinates and oversees all the different aspects of children's work (including crèche, Junior Church and ages up to teenage years, and their families). She says, "my aim is to see all our young people, from the very young through to teens, recognising that they are loved by their Heavenly Father, for each one to grow up inspired and equipped to serve God in their own unique way, the way that God has planned for them. We aim to partner with parents in this vital task."
All our events and groups include fun, learning, interaction and participation. All the leaders are Christians and we aim to share our faith and help children discover faith, encounter the Holy Spirit, learn to pray, read and understand the Bible and use the gifts God has given them.
For babies and toddlers up to age 3
For Children from age 3 to Year 1
For Children in year 2- year 3
For Children in year 4 - year 5
Every 4th Sunday, all the kids aged 3-10 join together in Light hub.
Each month we look at a Bible Story in our age appropriate groups and then we split into different all age creative art groups.
We normally have drama, art, music and dance groups – but we are always looking for different creative ways we can use. Our aim and vision is to release our young people to use their creative gifts to glorify God.
Charging Point is a children’s house group for anyone aged 7-11 at primary school. We meet every week at the church's high street building during term time.
The evening starts with games inside and outside (during the summer months!). We then eat pizza or pasta together before we look at the Bible together.
At present we are enjoying The Diary of a Disciple by Gemma Willis. Please speak to Kate Irvine for more details.
Messy Church is a church but not as you may know it! Each session has a theme, including craft stations for children (and adults too!) who can make as many crafts as they wish in the next hour.
There is normally paint, always glue, sometimes glitter and so many opportunities to get messy! We then join together for a short action-packed celebration with a story and some songs. We finish off with a lovely cooked tea! And it is all for free!
Check our events calendar for more information.
CBC is committed to best practice especially when working with children and young people. As a church we have a strong Safeguarding Policy, informed by both the government and Baptist Union of Great Britain guidance. All our leaders and helpers have received training and hold current DBS checks.
